What we keep,
and what we never do.
What LSC Smart Living stores about you, who can see it, how your session works, and what we never do with your number.

01
The short version
We keep what is needed to run your account and your stay, and nothing that exists only to be sold on.
We do not sell or rent your phone number or email to agents or brokers, and we do not call you to “confirm your interest”. An owner gets your contact details when you choose to enquire or ask to visit — because that is the point of the request — and not before.
02
What we store
Held against your account:
- Your name, and the email address or phone number you registered with.
- Your password, stored only as a hash. It cannot be read back, by us or by anyone with the database.
- Homes you saved, visits you requested, stays and the notifications sent to you.
- Historic reservation and billing records, if your account has them. The current website and app do not offer a checkout.
- Enquiries you sent, including what you wrote and the contact details attached to them.
03
Who can see it
A property owner sees an enquiry or visit request you sent to them, with the contact details on it, and — once you reserve or move in — the reservation, stay and rent records for their own property. They cannot see your activity on anyone else’s listing, your shortlist, or your searches.
LSC reviewers see owner and listing submissions and audit records in order to review listings and support requests. Moderation decisions carry a written reason.
04
How your session works
Your browser never holds an access token for the platform’s API. Signing in stores the session on the server, encrypted, and gives your browser only an opaque identifier in a cookie that JavaScript cannot read.
That cookie is limited to this site, is not shared with the administrator console, and is cleared when you sign out — which also ends the session on the server, not just in your browser.
05
What we measure
We keep the operational records a service needs to stay up and to stay safe: request logs with a request identifier, and counters that limit how many times a sign-in can be attempted.
We count how the website and the app are used, as totals for each day: how many people opened them, which pages and screens were opened, and how often buttons such as Call, WhatsApp or Save were pressed. To count one person once a day, your browser or phone keeps a random identifier that is not your name, number or account. The totals say nothing about who did what.
The app also reports its version, so we know when an update is needed, and asks for your location only to show homes near you first. Your location is used for that search and is not kept against your account.
Notifications reach your phone through Google’s Firebase Cloud Messaging, which gives the app an address for notifications on that phone. After you sign out, nothing more is sent to it.
The app uses Meta’s (Facebook’s) software kit to measure our ads on Facebook and Instagram: it tells Meta when the app is installed and opened, and when someone signs up, searches, opens a listing, saves a home, asks to visit or reaches an owner. Meta receives the name of that action, the basic details any app sends (phone model, system version, network) and your phone’s advertising identifier — never your name, number, email, messages or which listing you looked at. You can reset or delete the advertising identifier in your phone’s settings at any time.
There is no third-party advertising or tracking script on this website, and no profile is built from your browsing to sell to anyone.
06
How long we keep it
Account and stay records are kept while your account exists, and afterwards only where a record of a tenancy or another legal obligation has to remain.
Audit records are append-only by design: a decision, and the reason for it, is not rewritten later.
Sessions, rate-limit counters and password-reset tokens are short-lived and expire on their own.
07
Your choices
You can see and change what your account holds from the account pages, remove saved homes, and cancel a visit request yourself.
To ask for a copy of your data, get in touch. Where a live stay or an unpaid obligation exists, we will say plainly what must be kept and why.
08
Deleting your account
You can delete your account at any time from the LSC Smart Living app: open Profile, tap Delete account, enter your password and confirm. Only you can do this, from your own signed-in account.
If you cannot use the app, write to us from the email address or phone number on the account through the Contact page, and say that you want it deleted. We confirm that the request is yours before deleting anything.
When an account is deleted:
- Your name, email address, phone number, password and photo are removed, along with saved homes, saved searches, alerts and notifications.
- For owners, every listing leaves search at once, and open visit requests on them are cancelled with the renter told.
- Enquiries and visit requests you already sent stay with the owner you sent them to, as their own record.
- An anonymised entry that the account existed, with no name, email or phone, stays in our audit history.
09
Children
This service is for adults entering a rental agreement, and accounts are not intended for anyone under 18.
10
The legal specifics
The data controller, its registered address, the grievance officer required under Indian rules and the contact route for a data request are to be stated here by the business before launch. They are left visibly outstanding rather than filled with a placeholder that would look official without being true.
Not clear?
Ask before you agree.
If any part of this does not match what you were told, say so before you reserve or pay. We would rather answer a question than resolve a dispute.
