Ladies PG in Bangalore: Where to Look and What to Check
Where women renters often look in Bengaluru, starting rents in five popular areas as of November 2026, and the questions to ask on every PG visit before you pay a deposit.
On this page
If you are looking for a ladies PG in Bangalore, start with the areas near your office or college and carry one clear checklist to every visit. Many women renters begin their search in BTM Layout, Koramangala, HSR Layout, Whitefield or Electronic City. As of November 2026, LSC Smart Living has 499 PG listings across Bengaluru, and one filter narrows them to PGs that take women.
Start with your commute
Bengaluru is spread out, and traffic shapes your day more than almost anything else. Pick the area by where you work or study first, then by rent. The big job clusters sit in different parts of the city: the Outer Ring Road tech corridor, Electronic City on Hosur Road, Whitefield in the east, and the startup offices around Koramangala and HSR Layout. Living close to yours is usually worth more than a slightly lower rent across town. Our guide to PGs near Bengaluru’s tech parks looks at this in more detail.
Where to look for a ladies PG in Bangalore
The figures below count all PG listings on LSC Smart Living as of November 2026, not only PGs for women, and each rent is the lowest listed rent in that area.
BTM Layout
BTM Layout has 52 PG listings, from about ₹5,000 a month. It is busy, packed with eateries and close to Koramangala, HSR Layout and Silk Board junction, which makes it a common first stop for students and young professionals.
Koramangala
Koramangala has 38 PG listings, from about ₹5,500 a month. It is lively, with startup offices, cafés and shops close by, and it suits you if you work in the area and like being in the middle of things.
HSR Layout
HSR Layout has 30 PG listings, from about ₹5,800 a month. It is a planned neighbourhood of sectors next to Koramangala and the Outer Ring Road, popular with people who work in the startups and tech offices nearby.
Whitefield
Whitefield has 25 PG listings, from about ₹7,500 a month. It is home to ITPL and many large tech campuses in east Bengaluru, so it makes sense if your office is there, though it is a long way from the south of the city.
Electronic City
Electronic City has 22 PG listings, from about ₹5,500 a month. It is a large IT hub on Hosur Road, in the south of the city. The area is spread out, so check the walk between the PG and the main road, especially after dark.
If two areas look equally good, choose the one where the walk home from your bus stop or office feels comfortable to you after dark.
What to check on every visit
These checks matter in any PG, and even more if you will often come home late. Ask, look, and note the answers.
- Who it is for: ask whether the house is women-only or co-ed, and if it is co-ed, how floors, rooms and washrooms are separated.
- The entrance: ask who has keys to the main door, whether it is locked at night, and whether a caretaker or manager is on site, and when.
- Cameras and privacy: ask whether there are security cameras at the entrance and in common areas, and check that none point into rooms or washrooms.
- Locks: check that your room door and cupboard lock properly and that you get your own keys.
- Washrooms: check the lock, the hot water and the ventilation, and ask how many residents share each one.
- Gate timing: ask what time the gate closes and what happens if your shift or flight runs late.
- Visitors: ask who may visit, where you can meet them and until what time.
- Staff access: ask who enters rooms for cleaning or repairs, and whether you are told beforehand.
- The route home: walk from the main road or bus stop to the PG in the evening. Notice the street lights, the footpath and how busy the road feels.
- Help at night: ask who to contact if something goes wrong after hours.
- Residents: talk to a woman already living there, ideally away from the owner.

Money and paperwork
- Compare the rent and the deposit together, not the rent alone.
- Ask what is included: meals, electricity, Wi-Fi, laundry and room cleaning.
- Get the deposit, notice period and refund terms in writing before you pay.
- Pay by bank transfer or UPI and keep every receipt.
- Photograph the room on the day you move in and send the photos to the owner.
